The piston cooling system is a process in which the pistons are cooled by spraying the oil on the lower side of the piston to maintain its temperature. The oil is sprayed by using the piston cooling jet (in figure .3) after that the piston cooling jets are directed in such a way that the oil hits the inlet hole of the piston cooling area. The piston cooling system has the control valve (in figure .1) atteched to piston cooling jet, which is controlled by the ECM. The ECM receives the input signals from the pressure sensor (in figure .2). In the piston cooling system, the control valve (piston cooling jet) balances the oil flow to the piston-cooling gallery. When the ECM determines more piston cooling, the ECM sends a signal to the control valve (piston cooling jet) to open and allows more oil to the piston cooling jets.
